Bio:

There was an Irish pop band called The Allies who were active in the eighties and released several singles and an LP on K-Tel. This band was led by Gibney and Donovan who have a long history dating back to the late 60s. I mention them here only so I can point out that they were not responsible for the collectable "Plush Living"/"Computer" single from 1979 (despite it being released on 'Harp' Records!) which was by a band from Wales.

There was also a US Allies from the Seattle area who self-released a powerpop LP in 1982, but there is little chance of confusing them with this Irish band.
