Described on ebay as "folky powerpop", but it's basically folk-rock. "Miles of Eyes" was his first significant hit. Jimmy MacCarthy has gone on to enjoy a lengthy singer-songwriter career in Ireland. Earlier he was in a band with Declan Sinnott called Southpaw who issued an LP on Circa Records in the late 70s.
