Bio:
Paranoid Visions are the longest running Dublin punk band.
Deko and Colin were previously in Insane Youth who underwent some
lineup changes to become Paranoid Visions circa 1982. Skinny was ex Defoetus Attitude.
Paranoid Visions were part of the second wave of punk which was heavily
influenced by Crass, the original anarcho-punk band.
The band
supported many visiting UK punk bands on their Irish gigs and also toured in the UK
themselves.
They set up their own F.O.A.D. Records
(Fuck Off And Die), releasing many records and cassettes. The "I Will Wallow" EP
famously parodies U2, while "Get Off The
Map.. (City of Screams)" is their caustic comment on the Dublin Millenium celebrations
of 1988.
Paranoid Visions remained
associated with the anarcho scene up until their break up in 1992.
The band reformed in 1996 to play support on some dates of the Sex Pistols
Filthy Licre tour and have performed sproadically since then, most recently in support
of the re-release of the FOAD back catalogue on CD.
Paranoid Visions played at the "Let's Get Serious 2" punk festival held at the TV Club
on the 30 September 1983 featuring the cream of Dublin's punk bands at the
time plus headliner Conflict.

Notes:
The repress on 12-inch was announced but its existance is unconfirmed. If anyone
has one please get in touch.

Notes:
Big Chief Records is undoubtedly the same American label that released the
Gorehounds "Semtex" compilation on LP/CD in 1989. As far as I know, this
Paranoid Visions disc never came out.
