Tinopeners

From: Belfast

Active: 1978-1981

Style: Powerpop

Lineup:

Bio:

Powerpop. The Tinopeners recorded four tracks for a planned single on Rip Off which never materialised. Two of these tracks were issued as a single on Logo Records (who manufactured and distributed Rip Off) in 1979. At that time, Logo was reputedly a terrible label, and stock copies of the single appear to be rarer than demo copies these days. The label reads "Produced by George Doherty at Hyde Park Studios. A Rip Off Production."

Phil McClelland was later replaced by Bill Reid.
