Bio:
English/Irish pop/show band based in Ireland whose best known member was Eric Wrixon,
who was (briefly) a member of an impressive list of bands including Them,
The Wheels, Eire Apparent and
the embryonic Thin Lizzy. The Trixons released at least three singles.
They are also remembered for the excellent pop-sike track "Just Another Song"
which is strongly reminiscent of the Beatles.
It's been comped on "Fading Yellow #9" and is their best song by a mile,
so consider your purchasing options wisely.
This song and it's original Irish B-side were both written by guitarist Shay McCarthy.
The original Irish edition was on Release Records and was credited to Terry & The
Trixons (repressings credited to Terry Connolly & The Trixons). It was released on
Major Minor in UK and Paramount in the USA with a different, more bubblegum-ish B-side
in 1969.
There may be a fourth single on Release from May (or August) 1969 pairing
"Cinnamon" with "Show Me The Way To St. Louis" or these may in fact be separare
singles.
According to those who have heard them, most of these other tracks are light
and disposable. "Just Another Song" remains their best recording by some
margin.

Help!: We need your help to complete this entry. If you can tell us more about this band then please do! We welcome any corrections, missing details, connections to other bands, where are they now, etc. We also need photos, scans, copies of releases or live or demo recordings, and any other memorabilia gathering dust in the attic.
