Billy Brown

From: N.IRL

Active:

Style: Pop

Lineup:

Bio:

Ex singer with the Freshmen, the Northern Irish showband from the late 60s who released the totally over-rated novelty punk single "You've Never Heard Anything Like it" in 1979. This is more of the same, another novelty record complete with fake cockney accent (again) and this time round Tchaikovsky samples. Less catchy than the Freshmen single, yet more irritating. Described variously as "powerpop" and more recently (and ludicrously) as "synth" on ebay. Caveat emptor!

Billy Brown released earlier solo records during the 1970s on small Irish labels.
