From: Limerick
Active: 1978- approx
Style: Pop
Lineup:
- Shay Fyfe
- others...
Bio:
Led by Shay Fyfe. Lucky Numbers released at least ten singles between 1978-82,
including three on their own Lucky Records label, and there are probably more. They are
a very mixed bag but there are some good rock and disco tracks.
Their best known song is "Brian Boru", about the ancient Irish King of the same name,
in a similar vein to Boney M's "Rasputin". The lyrics are hilarious.
Lucky Numbers were still treading the boards in the late 90s.

Salthill, Galway, Feb 1980
