Bio:

Princes Street in Cork formed on St.Patrick's Day 1984 by a number of buskers working on Princes St in Cork City. They were led by Hank Wedel who was born in New York City and moved to Mallow, Co.Cork in 1974 at the age of 11. Wedel had been busking on Princes St since beginning his studies at UCC in 1981.

After a single ("Song For You?" / "Speak To Me") and cassette album ("The Night John Lynch Lost His Glasses"), Princes Street evolved into The Medication Blues Band featuring John Lynch (vocals) and Declan McGrath (ex Sleepy Hollow) on harmonica.

Wedel later fronted Open Kitchen.
