Bio: Purple Haze recorded their lone single in 1976 at Downtown Radio's studio in Newtownards. Downtown played the single several times but seemed to prefer the 'B' side "Saturday Night". Both sides were penned by founder member Ray Valentine who later went on to found RVS Studios in Strangford, Co.Down.

Purple Haze has morphed many times through the years and is actually still on the go with original members Gerry Tweedie and Paul Fitzsimons.
