Mod-ish trio who appeared on Something Else (BBC TV). Their debut single on the local Shoestring label in 1980 was cancelled. They were also due to appear on a local scene sampler LP on the same label which was also cancelled.

The Sect played the Dandelion Market in Dublin on Sunday 17th February 1980 before a screening of John T. Davis' film Shell Shock Rock.

Seamus Cassidy joined as second guitarist circa 1981. The band's sound changed from mod to punk. They were mentioned in the scene report in MRR #12 (published March 1984), described as "ex Mods".

Jim Walker later formed Cast Of Thousands in 1984-85.
