Bio:
Formed by Dave Finnegan (ex Boneshakers), Shark Bait were highly rated
but the band split (acrimonious, apparently) when Finnegan landed a role
in the godawful Commitments film. They left no recordings beside a few
compilation appearances though they recorded demos in 1985-86 and 1987.
They appeared on RTE Television on both 'Visual Eyes' and 'TV Ga Ga' (anyone
got tapes?). After completing the movie, Finnegan hastily conviened a
band to record some Shark Bait songs released under the name
Scared Stiff.
He now fronts one of the many Commitments bands doing world tours of Ireland.
Not to be confused with the San Francisco band whose debut LP "Feed Our Frenzy"
(Gladys Pearce GPR01) came out in 1988.
