Wheels Of Time

From: Belfast

Active: late '60s

Style: pop-psych

Lineup:

Bio:

Obscure band from Belfast about whom little is known but they are almost certainly not related to the Belfast R&B group The Wheels. They recorded just one single for the Irish Spin label in 1967.

The A-side "1984" is a haunting psych-pop tune with some fine spooky organ playing, sounding a bit like a mid-60s US midwest garage record. It suffers from murky production and a poor mix which obscures the vocal track. The B-side "So Long" is reputedly much less interesting and hasn't been comped.

Both sides are credited to McColl / King / Gerrard.
