A division of Hawk Records, launched circa 1979. LOON 001 - LOON 051 were all pressed in Ireland. After that the singles were pressed in the UK. The label design changed, omitting the year -- all such pressings are post 1989 (see Black 47 example).

There is an older Lunar release which may or may not be related. Johnny McEvoy's All Our Wars Were Merry... LP was issued in Ireland as Lunar LNR 18324 (was it issued in the UK as NPL/NSPL 18324?), with Lunar described as A Target Release. If anyone knows of other such releases, please get in touch.

Lunar entered the CD age and continued to issue releases sporadically through the 90s.
