Bio:

Dublin-based post-punk/pop band fronted by Barry Moore, who is better known nowadays as Luka Bloom, and with guitarist George Sweeney, ex Vipers and ex Epidemix drummer Dave Bell. Moore had already recorded as a solo artist before forming Red Square.

Red Square were "one of 5000 bands in Dublin trying to become the next U2". They recorded at least one session for Dave Fanning's radio show including the following tracks: "Street Fight", "Trains", "Soweto". They also appeared on TV in 1986.

Moore has not released any of these recordings.

A French guy living in Dublin at the time used to record gigs in Dublin on a (at the time very flash) Sony recorder. Did he make the recording referred to below? Does anyone remember his name?
