Bob Bolton

Bio:

Bob Bolton played a key role in a number of well-known bands dating back to the early 1960s. He played bass with Some People (1963-66), The Uptown Band (1966-67), The Stellas (1967-69), The Chosen Few (1969-71), Stepaside (1971-78), Beats Workin (1979), The Swarbriggs Band (1978-80), and The Negatives (1980-81).

He played in California for the rest of his career, mostly in country bands, before returning to Ireland in 1998 to do a Masters degree in Music, graduating in 2001. He taught for a few years before retiring.

In October 2011, Bob suffered a post-operative cardiac arrest which led to hypoxic brain injury. For more details of his condition, see the robertbolton.org website.
