The Boneshakers

From: Dublin

Active: ca 1985

Style: Psychobilly

Lineup:

Bio:

Dave Finnegan's Cramps/psychobilly style band active in 1985. Dave also fronted the Killer Pussies at the time.

The original singer was a guy named Chris from Scotland. When he left Dave (who was the drummer up until then) took over. The band recorded just one demo at Strand Recording Studio containing the tracks: "Jungle Fever", "Love Bites" and the excellent "Werewolf Boogie". This was aired on Dave Fanning's show and received a glowing review in Hot Press. They may also have made a video. Finnegan went on to form Sharkbait.

"Fronted by athletic mayhem-merchant and lead vocalist Dave Finnegan whose 'swallowing' of microphones and crucial gyrations are rapidly turning him into a living legend, they served their inimitable brand of sometimes electrifying psychobilly, featuring covers of Graveyard Stomp and Brand New Cadillac alongside originals like Werewolf Boogie" --Hot Press review of the Dublin Mega-Bash at the Ivy Rooms on 29 August 1985
