Rattling Throntons

Bio:

Obscure DIY 5-track EP by this Belfast R&B band. It's usually described as powerpop and consists mostly of mod/punkish covers of tracks originally recorded by The Troggs ("From Home"), The Box Tops ("The Letter") and Nancy Sinatra ("Boots"). The other two tracks are originals. A fine EP, well worth owning, just don't pay too much for it.

Bassist Andrew Thompson left after the EP was recorded in 1979. He was replaced by Russ Nesbitt, currently a member of ex Them guitarist Jim Armstrong's blues band. Peter Coates went on to become a founder member of The Arms of Venus de Milo.
