Lineup:

Bio:

Formed 1978 by Steve Rapid (ex Radiators) and Pete Hamilton, with a fluid lineup based around this core duo. Their first show was in June(?) 1978 at the Project Arts, where they were billed to appear between support act U2 and headliner Revolver, but U2's new manager Paul McGuinness was having none of it and forced them to appear last. Among the audience was then 18 year old Stan Erraught who joined the the band sometime after, followed by Ed Jettison AKA Adrienne Darragh of the Boy Scouts, while Steve Rapid departed.

By 1980 the band's contact address was c/o Trinity Anarchists Society. By 1981 the band had evolved into the peridots, with Stan Erraught and Pete Hamilton.

Stan Erraught is nowadays best known for his time with the Stars of Heaven. Ed Darragh was later in Toy With Rhythm and Geoffrey's First Affair.

Note this Modernaires has no connection to the UK band who recorded the "Way of Living" LP for Illuminated Records in 1980.
