Bio:

Xerxes was brought together by Pat Courtney (Sacre Bleu, Daddy Cool & The Lollipops) who had worked with the rest of the band in different projects and was playing in The Alleycats / Talk To Strangers at that time; and manager Gerry Madigan of the Cotton Mill Boys.

Sid McManus had previously been singer/guitarist in Dreams; Steve McGrath had played keyboards with Joanna & Tequila Sunrise; and Pat Waller was the drummer in Sacre Bleu and The Gentry.

There was no permanent bass plater. Neil Whiffen and Pat Courtney were hired for two consecutive European tours in 1985/86.

The band minus Collette still plays together as The Shakes.
