Dolphin Records was started by Jim Aiken, Vincent Nolan, Jim Hand and Oliver Barry. The label was managed by Brian Barker in the late 1960s. Dolphin remains active as both a record label and a retail chain.

UK pressings via Island Records exist for the first six singles at least. There may be more. There may also be more label variations than shown here. My thanks to Bob Lyons for the scan of DOS 1.

One interesting anomoly: there appear to be very few releases (and no single releases) in 1976. Does anyone know why?

While saturated with showbands, country & irish, and bearded copycat balladeer groups, the Dolphin catalogue nevertheless includes many interesting records (or potentially interesting -- I haven't heard them all by any means) which I have tried to indicate in bold.
