From: Finglas, Dublin

Active: c1980-81

Style: Post-punk

Lineup:

Bio:

New Career were a late 70s/early 80s post-punk band based in the Finglas area of Dublin formed by Bart Cronin and Damian Corless. Others involved included Denis Rusk (ex The Citizens, The Strougers) and Martin Greene (ex The Citizens).

The band played regular gigs in the Judge & Jury. Memories differ as to whether they supported U2 in McGonagles (probably not!).

There are no recordings though Paul Angle released a solo single in 1982 on which Denis Rusk and Damien Corless both played.

Martin Greene went on to form Montage with another ex Citizens Emmett O'Reilly in 1982. Damien Corless also played with Montage. Denis Rusk went on to Cuba Dares and Venetian Blonde.
